About Me
I am Mak Kwan Wuey, Ruby-on-Rails Developer from Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. I have shipped commercial
Rails platforms for over a decade — from campaign sites and marketplaces to the internal business
systems that finance, HR and operations teams run on daily. My passion to create extends beyond web
development, including cloud architecture and hardware integration.
Recent work includes an award-winning Hari Raya campaign platform for PepsiCo Malaysia, a guardhouse
and barrier access-control system for a gated township, and internal business systems for a
confidential enterprise client.

Skillset
Ruby on Rails
10+ years of Ruby on Rails experience, from Rails 4 through Rails 8. Modern, responsive custom web platforms — campaign sites, internal business systems — built to scale with your business.
Full-stack Rails Platform
Bachelor (Hons) of Electronics & Communication Engineering combined with strong web development experience is the right mix to guide your company end to end — from data modelling and architecture through to deployment, scaling and maintenance.
Google Cloud / Azure
Google Cloud (App Engine, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub) and Microsoft Azure — containerised, Kamal-deployed releases, so your platform ships predictably and grows with your business.
Bootstrap / Tailwind CSS
Bootstrap and Tailwind CSS — simple, modern and responsive front ends. Happiest paired with an excellent UI designer, perfectly able to produce a clean interface myself.

Background
Graduated as Bachelor (Hons) Electronics and Communications Engineering, joined Huawei Global Training Centre as WCDMA specialist to deliver trainings to customer worldwide, finds that ingesting and delivering technical engineering information did not fulfill my desire to make stuff. Dabbled with 3D printing after leaving Huawei for a few years and by chance stumbled upon a Ruby on Rails web development bootcamp in 2015 and started creating and building awesome projects since then!
